Quality of Life Consultation / Palliative Care

We review your veterinary records (with your permission) and provide an in-home consultation on your companion’s quality of life. Medication options as well as environmental modifications will be discussed. We can work with your primary veterinarian to ensure your companion is comfortable and cared for and their health and well-being needs are met.

Euthanasia

We travel to your home or chosen site. We discuss the euthanasia process, answer any questions you may have, and work to accommodate any special needs for you and your companion. They are generally first given a subcutaneous injection of a pain medication and heavy sedative. After they are deeply asleep an irreversible injection is given to stop all body function. This process takes approximately 1 hour.

Cremation: Individual and Communal

After your companion has passed we provide transportation to the cremation provider, Resting Waters. If you choose Individual Aquamation ashes are returned to you in a scatter vessel in approximately 2 weeks. If you choose Communal Aquamation Resting Waters will respectfully scatter your companion's remains. Ink paw prints and hair clippings are complimentary. Special urns and clay paw prints are also an option for an additional charge.
